Sanam Shetty is an Indian film actress and model. She is a qualified software engineer from London, UK before she ventured into the film industry.

Career

Sanam hails from Bengaluru and right now lives in Chennai. She is conversant in all the South Indian languages and thinks about that as an advantage for her acting career. She has been a popular name in South modeling circuit having endorsed most of the reputes textiles and Adornments brands in the South. Sanam is the face of Preethi Kitchenware company for past 2 years. She is Miss South India first Other participants 2016. While in the UK, she tested acting in a Sri Lankan documentary when she realized her affection for acting. Thanks to her effective modeling stint she got great offers to act in films. Eventually she landed in Chennai to test acting.

Sanam's first film was Ambuli, an experimental film, which was also the primary stereoscopic Tamil film, with actor-executive R Parthiepan, after which she did Cinema Company in Malayalam. Sanam was to make her presentation in Telugu films with K Raghavendra Rao's Intinta Anamayya. Her role in the film was that of a NRI demigod with a very modern outlook. Intinta Anamayya was never released. Her next releases were the Tamil film Maayai by J R Kannan, and the Malayalam films Ravu coordinated by Ajith Ravi Pegasus, and Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus in which she was paired opposite Mammootty.

She proceeded to sign several Tamil undertakings, including Kalaivendhan, coordinated by Parasuram, in which she was said to play a dual role, a heroine-arranged action film by Aabavanan, in which Sanam was to play a Black Belt Kung Fu master, Katham, coordinated by Babu Thooyavan, and Vilasam. The latter was her lone release in 2014 and she had a "de-glam" role as a college girl in it. She has further more signed the Tamil films, Sawaari and Vellaya Irukkaravan Poi Solla Maataan, which would feature her as a NRI spouse, and the Telugu film Srimanthudu, her greatest undertaking till date. She is at present filming for her first Kannada film Vara.
