Question: Kajaler Dinratri', 'The Silence' - Mehzabeen Chowdhury discussed these two works at the beginning of the year. "Vinodan" spoke to him on various topics including work.
  There is a lot of discussion about the web series 'The Silence'. What is your own satisfaction with the work?

If an actor is satisfied with this, he will lose interest in doing good work later on. I did what I could. I am getting good response. But if we talk about satisfaction, then there is more to do; More can be explored. There is still a long way to be satisfied at work.

Question: While doing the series, you had to act with different teeth. Wasn't there a problem with the shooting?

Of course there would be problems. I acted with 10 false teeth. During the shooting, the face and jaw would become painful, the face would feel heavy. But I and the director wanted my facial structure to look a little different in the series. Everyone will see this Mehjabeen, and think again, why does Mehjabeen look like this? I also think at work, it's nice if the look is a little different. This is what I wanted for Ruby's character in this series. But not doing this was no problem. Try to be a little different by doing the extra thing.

Question: How did the audience take this different look?

The audience is used to seeing me one way. I think I managed to confuse the audience a bit with the look of this character. This was a goal of our team. From that aspect we can say successful. And many can say about the audience's choice, Mehzabeen is already liked. It doesn't feel good. With that in mind, the character would not have been Ruby. I don't want Mehzabeen to look good on screen either. I want Ruby to be a character, just like Ruby. Ruby is like Ruby, Mehjabeen is like Mehjabeen. Now if I always come on screen as me, then nothing will be different.

Question: How was the preparation while working like this?

There was good preparation. Sizing the teeth before the shoot, whether it is difficult to speak after the teeth are fitted—they had to be given a trial. In doing this I damaged a bit of my own real teeth. Every time I wore them, my real teeth bled a little. Because I had to put them on my real teeth. Every day before the shooting, the shot had to be practiced. Of course, I used to wear fake teeth during the shooting, and kept them off the rest of the time.

Question: You were in Kolkata. Many people say that they are acting in web films or movies there. True or not?

No, no, not true. Nothing like that. I haven't done any shooting in Kolkata yet. But yes, there are suggestions. Talking is going on. The meeting took place. But nothing was finalized with anyone. Not just in one place, but in several places.

Question: You are not on the screen on Valentine's Day after many years, don't you feel bad?
I read the comments of the audience. Little messages kept coming, 'Dude, nothing on Valentine's Day, nothing?' This is the first time in a long career that fans are not getting anything on Valentine's Day. I think this is what is needed. Because the work is done for the devotees. But in the future, the works that will be released by me, may pay off. Not having work on Valentine's Day for the first time makes me feel different myself. But on the one hand it looks good, the work of the other will be seen. I always used to be tensed about my work on special days, now I don't have to do that.

Question: How will you spend this special day even if there is no drama?

This time Falgun and Valentine's day together. I had no work to do that day. Today (yesterday) doing a photoshoot and communicating with friends, what to do on the day. We friends are contacting wherever to travel, all are booked. So still could not decide, where, how to spend the day.

Question: Why are you seen more in OTT now?

Working in OTT with little time, good job opportunity. There is freedom to tell stories. Everything is being checked a bit. At this stage of career, I want to do audit work. Importantly, planned work is now underway in OTT. That's why the interest has increased. If there is an opportunity to work in a good story, I will also work in drama.

Question: Acting in the play has created your fans at the grassroots level. Why are you leaving the drama?

I'm not going away. At the beginning of the year, I did 'Kajal Day and Night'. has been discussed. I will do 'Rebirth 4' in the future. Everyone thinks they are moving away, but actually they are not moving away. Maybe work is getting less. Hopefully, there will be several good dramas for the fans every year.
